Hola family,
Sounds like a good week minus the run in with Mr. Robertson. (Christi had a run in with her Spanish teacher, but she's okay now.) That´s awesome that Mikayla got into SBO again. That should be fun. Sounds like it was a busy week with all the kids at the house, but it would be entertaining. (We tended Amy & Ben's 5 children for 3 days while they went to Washington D.C.)
Saturday we had Mirella´s baptism, but the water heater wasn´t working so it was very cold, but it was an awesome experience and she was really excited, and so was her family. I have pictures but I can´t get the memory card thing to work for the computer, so I can´t send them today. We had to move Luis´s baptism back because he´s struggling with some of the commandments, but he´s really excited for his baptism. It will hopefully be in like 2 weeks.
Today and tommorow is like the 4th of July here in Argentina, and none of the stores are open. We had to go on a train to find somewhere to do internet, but we found one. The 25th is like their Independence Day. I´m not really sure from who; actually I don´t really know anything, but no one is working and no one´s really in the streets either.
Friday we had our last zone conference that we´ll have with President and Sister Asay, but it was a really good conference. It will be hard to have them leave. We learned a lot about finding new people to teach and about how we are here to find those that have been chosen and prepared by the Lord.
Last night it rained a ton. To get back to our apartment we had to walk up to our waists in water, and there were cars that were just compelety flooded. But today all the water is gone; when it rains, it really rains. 1 1/2 hours and everything is flooded, but it was entertaining anyway. We contacted a guy in the middle of one of the streets we were crossing, standing in 2 1/2 feet of water. Hopefully we´ll be able to teach him more. It´s easier to start a conversation if you're swimming in a tie to cross the street- conversation starter for sure.
We found some really good people to teach this week but hopefully this week we´ll find even more. It´s frustating not having a companion that can talk, but he´s trying, and we´ll make it through fine. He´s already starting to understand a little more.

Hola familia,
Sounds like everything´s still going good and busy up there. Hopefully everything goes well with job interviews and SBOness and Seniorness, and what ever other kind of ness that´s happening this week.
Elder Pratley and all the nuevitos got here Tuesday in the afternoon, after we had had meetings with the assistants and with President Asay, and after they had gone and got all their documents done in the capital. Elder Pratley is from Boise, Idaho, and is excited to be here in the mission. It´s a lot different being on the other side now. He almost doesn´t understand anything when people speak to him. He tries to talk, but then after they talk back he just looks over at me with big wide eyes. It´s like I was back in my first week again, but I´m the one that kind of knows what´s going on now. But he´s really excited, and really wants to work hard, and really wants to be obedient. We talked to everyone we saw in the streets and we really worked hard, but hadn´t seen a whole lot of the fruits of our labors, and he was a little discouraged. But then we had a great experience Saturday night and we found a new investigator named Yanina(Shaneeena).
Yanina is living with a less active member, and we found his name in the ward list last week. We passed by and talked with him and left him a family folleto and a Book of Mormon because he didn´t have one. Then when we passed by this week , we had a wonderful experience with them. Yanina had seen the pamphlet and the Book of Mormon and read all the parts we had marked for her husband (Moroni 10). She had been praying all week to find a way to solve the problems they are having in their family, and she said when she starting reading the Book of Mormon, she knew that God had sent her that book, and had answered her prayers. And she prayed to know that it is true like she had read in Moroni 10, and she knows that it is the word of God. There was such a strong spirit in the little house, and it´s just another testimony to me that the Lord works in many different ways, but he is always preparing his children to receive the gospel. We just have to be worthy to be found in the right places at the right times, where the spirit indicates to us to be. And it was a really good experience for Elder Pratley´s first week, and we´re really excited to keep teaching her, and we really feel that we can start preparing her for baptism very soon.
The two investigators that we are baptizing this week, Mirella and Luis, are also doing really well, and we pray that everything can keep going good this week. So everything's going pretty good down here. But hopefully we´ll do better this week, and that we can really start finding and baptizing in this area.

Hello my little family,
It was really good to hear from all of you yesterday. I kind of felt like Mikayla, I didn´t know what to say, but it was really good. Grandma sounds like she´s really enjoying her mission too. (Grandma Wood was here from her mission in Sacramento, California. She had to come for an eye appointment.)
Today I´m with Elder Allen, the other Elder in my Zone that´s training. (David knew Elder Allen from Elk Ridge Middle School). He says that his mom thinks she knows you from missionary mom email thing. You have that? I got to talk for a while to Elder Jones, my trainer today. He´s doing really well. He´s been assistant to the President for the last couple of months, so I see him quite a bit.
That´s a bummer about the car, but at least there wasn´t any buses involved. (Dean got rear-ended in the Altima on the freeway coming home on Friday. He didn't get hurt, but the trunk, bumper and lights were damaged.) I´ve heard of some people that have problems with driving, and buses, and snow and stuff. And that´s good everything went well with AP tests and S.B.O.ness, and everything.
The area here in Quilmes, is still continuing to grow and be better, but hopefully we can keep it up. we should have 2 baptisms my companion´s second week, so that should be really good. Hopefully he´ll have the chance to do the baptisms like I did, it´s a good experience to have early in the mission. They should be arriving tomorrow, so we´ll know who my new companion will be. It´s gonna be a good time. (Transfers were today. David is staying in the same area, Quilmes 1, but has been made a trainer. He will get a new companion from the MTC on Tuesday. He has a great experience ahead of him.)
This is the last full transfer with President Asay, so that will be hard to see him go; but it will be good to meet the new President too, he sounds like he´ll be a good President.

Hello familia,
5 months is probably a record stretch of not going to Holden isn´t it?, but it sounds like a fun time this week helping out the grandparents. That´s awesome that Keaton´s going to Alaska; that wouild be an awesome place to go. (Our neighbor, Keaton Hansen just received his mission call to Anchorage Alaska). This Sunday I should be calling between 1 and 3 Argentina time, but I don´t know what time that would be in Utah. Happy Birthday mañana, Christi. Hopefully the AP test turns out good.
Hugo is still working on having meaningful prayers, but he came to church Sunday, and we´re having a family home evening with him and another member family, so that should be good.
We had a great experience yesterday with the Book of Mormon. Over a month and a half ago, we had found a woman named Celia, from Paraguay, and we had left her with a Book of Mormon. But she said she would only be in her house in Quilmes on the weekends because she works in Caballito, about 2 hours away, tending a house with old people. So we passed by for over a month, but we never found her, and yesterday we were walking past her house, and we saw that her door was open, so clapped to see if she had returned. She came out of the house and was really excited to see us. She had been in Caballito for the last month and a half because the lady she takes care of broke her leg. But in that time she read all the way to 4th Nefi, and reads and prays everyday. She has such a testimony of the Book of Mormon, that after the woman she works for told her she had to throw the book away because she didn´t want anything like that in her house, Celia started reading every night at 3, 4 o´clock in the morning by the light of her cell phone. This week she is praying to be able to have every Sunday off of work so she can come to church and be baptized. And we pray that everything can work out well. She has so much faith. I was amazed at how much the Book of Mormon changed her life in so short time.
Transfers are coming up this week, so we´ll see where I´ll be. Hopefully I'll have it least a little more time here in Quilmes. Well, I´ll talk to you Sunday then, my little family.
