Hello family,
I´m glad everything went well this week in Lake Powell, and that everyone was safe. It sounds like it was lots of fun. It´s still cold here, but it hasn´t gotten too bad yet. The World Cup started last week, and Argentina has advanced to the quarter finals, but the U.S. lost. During the games there is aboslutely no one in the streets. Argentina beat Mexico last night, and everything was just dead, but we knew exactly what the score was because the whole city starts yelling and shooting things off when they score. And then right when the game ends you can tell, because people and cars start appearing in the streets. Nothing's more important to lots of people here over fútbol. It´s crazy, and we can´t watch the games, so we have to somehow find people that don´t watch the games, but that´s impossible. So you pretty much just have to go to people´s house that will let you give a short message during half-time or with the muted t.v. in the background because the games are important to everyone. All the businesses and everything closes down when Argentina plays. They´re playing Germany this Saturday, so we´ll see how that goes.
We didn´t have Liliana´s baptism this week because her dad had a job he couldn´t get out of, but we´re going to have the baptism this Sunday, so that will be really awesome. Also last night right after the game we had a lot of success, probably because everyone was so pumped from the win. We found an awesome family that really have a lot of faith and are looking for the true church. We hope that they can gain personal testimonies of the Book of Mormon, and that they can really progress. Their names are Fabiana and Roberto.
Elder Pratley´s doing well. His Spanish is still quite a struggle, but he´s always getting better and starting to participate more in the lessons and in everything.
I haven´t got the package, but it may be in the offices already. We´ll see at our meeting if it got here. That´s awesome that Joseph got his call to Texas, that will be really awesome; I´m excited for him. (Joseph Jepson is a young man in our ward.) I know that the Lord is always preparing his children to receive his gospel, and we hope to keep finding more of those people here in Quilmes, and that we can always improve on everything we do. I know I´m where God wants me to be and all the struggles, all the hard things, and the trials, are to help us grow even though we can´t see it. I know that Jesus Christ lives, and that everyday here in Argentina I have the blessing of sharing that with all the people I meet.

Hola familia,
That´s crazy that you're all going to Lake Powell this week, and it´s starting to get pretty cold here. That´s awesome everything went well with basketball camp and with job inteviews and things. Sounds like BYU ended up on the bottom of the politics again with the conference thing. What is bioinformatics? It sounds hard, but it will probably be cool; but what is it? with genes and cloning and stuff? (Christi is planning on majoring in Bioinformatics at BYU).
Today was transfers, and the last meeting that we´re going to be able to hear from President and Sister Asay, but it was really good. We just got a new missionary couple too, and neither of them speak Spanish. They´ll be working in the offices, and then the new mission president I think will get here in a week or two. Elder Pratley and I are staying together again, and hopefully we can do a lot better this transfer. We should be having a baptism this Saturday with a little girl, nine years old name Liliana, that is the daughter of two inactive members from Paraguay. They´ve started coming back to church, and they´re really making progress. I don´t know if I wrote a little about them before.
We had a good week this week. We found a couple more families to teach, and had lots of really spiritual lessons. We hope we can really help a lot of people repent and come to Christ through baptism this transfer. I know I´m here because the Lord called me here to this area and that there are people here that are ready for the gospel. We just have to allow the spirit to find them, and to help them find us.
Hopefully everything goes well and that you had a great time in Lake Powell. It will be a little rough with the house boat and no help, but with dad´s driving skills, there shouldn´t be too many problems. Is the water hot already?
Well I guess I´ll talk to you guys next week. I love you guys.

Hola familia,
We had tons of problems with the computers today, so I don't have very much time. Hugo's baptism went great, and Elder Pratley had his first baptism, so that was really awesome.
I'm glad to hear everything went well in Riverton this week. I got the package Tuesday, the day before my birthday, so that was really cool. We ate the cake that night, and Elder Pratley sang happy birthday to me, so that was fun, but before that I had really forgotten it was my birthday. But Mirella knew for some reason, I don't know how. So when we went to her house for lunch, she wished me happy birthday. It was really nice. I'm sorry I ran out of time, but I'll talk to you guys next week.

Hola familia;
It sounds like everything went well with graduation and everything. Everyone looks a lot older in the pictures. It seems that Dad´s losing his hair line a little too. (sorry, but I like it better anyways).
We had Luis´s baptism all planned and ready this week, and his mom had said that she was going to support him and sign the papers because he´s still a minor. But Friday night she told us they didn´t want him to be baptized anymore, and that she thought that he needs to wait a couple of months. Luis has changed so much, and was so ready to be baptized this week, so I kept trying to help her see how important this step was for Luis, and that he was ready. But she was convinced, and said that the step dad doesn´t want him to be baptized at all. So we´re going to keep working with them, trying to help the family support his decision, but everyone has their agency. It´s a hard lesson to learn, but even when we´ve done everything we can, every individual has to choose for themselves, and the results hurt sometimes, but we have to keep doing all we can do to help the people make the right decisions that we know we have received through the power of Dios, through prophets and the scriptures. But Hugo´s baptism is still on for this week, and we hope everything goes well with him. We have the interview for him today, but he is ready. He´s so willing to commit and to live to every commandment that we teach him, and really has desires to follow the example of Christ.
I didn´t get the package, but it´s been awhile since I´ve been in a meeting where I could have gotten it. Tommorow we have interviews with President, so we should get all our packages and letters.
We have a really good inactive family that we´ve been teaching for awhile, that have come to church two weeks in a row. It has been like 5 years since they have come to church, but they all have the desire to come back and raise their family in the gospel, and they have a little girl named Liliana that´s 9 years old and that really wants to be baptized. The dad, René is working to receive the priesthood so he can baptize her. It´s the family Benitez, and we´re really excited for their return. Their family has changed a lot in a really short time.

Hello familia!
Sounds like a fun weekend down in Holden. It´s crazy that school is already getting out. I´ve already been out 11 months, but it doesn´t really seem like it´s been that long. We had good week this week. We´re talking to everyone in the streets and we found quite a few people to teach. Luis is going to be baptized this Saturday, so we´re really excited about that. He´s really changed a lot, it´s amazing the changes the knowledge of the gospel brings to people's lives.
This week we had a really good experience with Hugo. I don´t know if you remember him that we were trying to prepare for baptism like a month ago. But we´ve still been trying, and still been helping him with his doubts. And this last week we took Mirella with us to bear her testimony in our lesson because she lives close to where he lives. She just started talking to Hugo and just jumped right in and started bearing her testimony and answering his questions, and we took out a date for his baptism the twelth of June. Her testimony is really what brought the spirit to help him realize the importance of this step in his life. So we´ll have two baptisms two weeks in a row with Luis and Hugo, and we have a few more investigators we´re pushing to possibly have ready to baptize before the end of the transfer; so we´re seeing a lot of improvements, but we´ve still got a long way to go. Hopefully we can continue to get the members more involved and continue to find new people to teach.
Today we went to a natural history museam, and it was pretty cool. It´s in a big city more south called La Plata, but it was pretty fun. We went as a zone for zone activity.
