Hola familia,
Sounds like Mikayla´s getting super involved in basketball. There will always be rough games, but that´s when you've got to just get up and practice and play harder. That´s awesome that it payed off working on the free-throws, and that you could make all the free-throws in the game. And- advice--- don´t let the things other players say effect you- they have to talk because they know they can´t match you on the court so they have to find other ways to do it. Just show em up on the basketball court-- with love. That´s awesome about basketball too. Looks like I´ll never be part of Jimmer mania maybe it´ll continue in to the pros, who knows).

Transfers kind of went crazy this week. We got the call Saturday night that Elder Diaz and I were going to stay together, but then Sunday night like at 8 o´clock, the assistants called and President made a last minute change--last minute revelation. So Elder Diaz is now in another area, and I stayed, and my new companion is named Elder Jardine, and he´s from Pleasant Grove. Elder Tattersall trained him like 6 months back, and he seems pretty awesome.

This week went pretty well. We were only able to talk with Marta one time because she was really busy, and she hadn´t read the Book of Mormon or prayed to ask. But we had a really good lesson, and she really understood the importance that it is to be able to know that it is true, and we have a lesson with her tonight and we´re going to invite her to be baptized and try to set a baptismal date with her. So hopefully everything goes well. We´ve been praying that she will be able to feel the spirit and we will be able to teach by the spirit to help her come to Christ and make covenants with our Father. Also, we took out a baptismal date with a woman we found like a week ago named María, and had a really good lesson with her, but she didn´t make it to church. We´ll do everything we can do this week so that she can make it. The goal for her baptism is the 19th of March.

Elder Diaz wasn´t happy that he got changed to another area. He likes this area because he thinks that everywhere else is more dangerous, and he likes the city. But nothing else really effects him or matters to him. Hopefully everything goes well for him and his new companion. It actually turned out to just be like a straight across companion switch. I got Elder Perez´s companion, and he got mine. But I know that it´s all for a reason, and we´re going to work with all faith and hope that we can baptize this month, and get this area moving. It's been a good while since the members have been able to experience a baptism, but I know that there are people here in the area waiting for us; waiting for the blessings that the gospel will bring to their lives. It´s not going to be easy, but we´re already starting to see a little bit of progress. If me and my companion continue on the same page, we´ll be able to achieve all that has been prepared for us here in La Plata.
