Hola familia,
Sounds like everthing´s going well up in Utah. That´s cool about the housing at BYU. Sounds like a good place. That´s crazy that Christi and I both ended up in the same building, but it´ll be good. (David and Christi will be living in the same housing complex "Liberty Square" next fall at BYU. They both put down different buildings and ended up in the same one.) That´s two Superbowls missed, but it´s looking like I´ll be able to see the next one. Thanks for sending the camera. They changed things in the mission now so we´re not going to have big transfer meetings every six weeks. We´re just going to be staying completely in our zones and then it´ll be arranged how we get to new areas when we´re transfered. So, hopefully the package arrives soon because we have interviews in 2 weeks, so it should be there by then.

We´re still working super hard down here in the Plata. We talked to tons of people this week, but we´re still not finding too many new investigors to teach. This week we passed by Mariela´s house pretty much everyday, and we couldn´t ever find her. Then Saturday we talked to her on the phone, and she just started classes at the university. She´s in the library studiying all morning, and in classes at night, and it is going to be like that for the next 2 weeks at least, because she has a big test coming. But she´s been reading the Book of Mormon and still feels good about everything, but she´s not going to be able to go to church the next couple of weeks, and she´ll never be in her house, but hopefully we can still help her make to baptism in a couple of weeks.

This week we had a really good experience with an investigator that´s been investigating quite a while and she is from the Dominican Republic, and her name is Leonida. She lives alone with her 2 year old son and has had quite a few problems with alchohol and drugs and other things. But we´ve been teaching her with our ward mission leader who is a returned missionary. She really wants to change her life and has really felt good reading the Book of Mormon. We were able to take out a baptismal date for the 27th of February. She came to church yesterday, and the ward accepted her really well, and she felt really good in church.

I know that really the only way we can help people come to Christ is really through His love. And I really feel good with the work that we are doing as missionarries and I hope that the people can feel that love that we have and that we can find the people that have been prepared to receive the gospel.
